How it works

Four rules. Two minutes a week. A whole season on the line.

01

Pick one driver

Before every Grand Prix, choose exactly one driver. Picks lock one hour before lights out.

02

Score or burn a lifeline

A top-10 finish keeps you safe. Anything less — or forgetting to pick — costs a lifeline, and they don't come back.

03

No reusing drivers

Every driver you pick is used up until you've been through the whole grid. Spend the favourites too early and the late season gets uncomfortable.

04

Outlast everyone

Run out of lifelines and you're eliminated. The last player standing takes the title — points only break ties.

Sprint weekends, late joins and the fine print live on the How to Play page.

We built Outlap because fantasy budgets aren't racing — they're accounting.

No driver prices. No transfer windows. No point multipliers. Just one question before every race weekend: who do you trust this Sunday?

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Outlap, the free F1 survival game.

Is Outlap free to play?

Yes. Outlap is completely free — no account fees, no in-app purchases, no premium tiers. Create an account, start or join a league, and play the whole season for free.

How is Outlap different from F1 Fantasy?

The official F1 Fantasy game is a budget game: you buy a squad of drivers and constructors within a price cap and manage transfers each week. Outlap is a survival game instead — there are no budgets, no prices and no transfers. You simply pick one driver each Grand Prix. If they score points you survive; if not, you burn a lifeline. Run out of lifelines and you're eliminated. The last player standing wins.

Is there a free F1 fantasy game I can play with friends?

Yes. In Outlap you can create a private league and share one join link with your group chat. Everyone picks one driver a week and the last friend standing takes the title — a simple free F1 fantasy alternative built for playing with mates, not spreadsheets.

What is an F1 survivor or last-man-standing game?

It's a knockout-style prediction game for the Formula 1 season. Each race weekend you pick a single driver who you think will score points. A points finish keeps you alive; a blank costs you a lifeline. You also can't reuse a driver until you've cycled through the grid, so you have to plan ahead. Players are eliminated as their lifelines run out, and whoever lasts longest wins.

Do I need to be an F1 expert to play?

No. If you know roughly which drivers tend to finish in the top 10, you can play. There are no stats to crunch and no budget to balance — just one pick a week, which takes about two minutes.

Can I join after the season has started?

Yes. You can join a public or private league at any point in the season. You start on the league's current average score, get a smaller driver pool sized to the remaining races, and a lifeline count matched to the surviving players, so late joiners still have a fair shot.
