Who we are

Outlap ("we", "us") is an unofficial motorsport prediction game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Formula 1 or any racing series. Contact us at [email protected].

What we collect

We collect only what the game needs: your email address, a securely hashed password if you create one (we never store your password in readable form), your display name, and the data you create by playing — the leagues you join, the picks you make, and your scores and standings. If you choose Google sign-in, Google sends us your verified email address, account identifier, and name so we can create or link your Outlap account. We do not collect payment details or sensitive personal data.

How we use it

Your data is used to run your account, operate your leagues, calculate standings, and (if you opt in) send you reminders to make your picks. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

Cookies & local storage

We use a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We store your light/dark theme preference and your cookie-notice acknowledgement in your browser's local storage. We do not use tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

Data sources & attribution

Circuit layouts shown in the app are derived from OpenStreetMap data — © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). Race results and schedules come from publicly available sources.

Your rights

You can access and update your information from your profile, and you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to export your data or object to certain processing — contact us at [email protected] to exercise them.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and gameplay records are removed from the active database. Database backups are retained for disaster recovery only and are automatically deleted when they are older than 7 days.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be noted here with a new "last updated" date.
